Putting together a chronicle of estates for a certain location or community is an important contribution to the history of the location, the history of who-owned-what and ancestor research. Researching the foundation or first recorded mention of a location, the church- and school history as well as foundation of clubs provides a versatile image.

Moreover the tracing back of an old estates’ owners for several centuries including the names, records of where they came from and professions, as well as tax ratings and old laws provide an insight in the way population lived. Here ordinary people are sort of „interviewed“. The size of the family, what age they could reach, sickness or also the living conditions on an estate can be reconstructed.
