Urkunde Esajas Pfinßing

Historical research based on written documents from state, church or community archives can only be conducted successfully, if sufficient knowledge in reading old manuscripts, understanding Latin expressions or legal terms is provided. Also the right judgement of ancient measurements, weights and the like, often locally coined terms, cannot be missing in the evaluation of a historical text. For local and ancestor research therefore transcription (typing the original, handwritten text in modern writing) of documents is extremely important. In addition the texts can be translated into contemporary German or -on demand- into English in order to provide better understanding and be able to make use of the entire content. Ubiquitous abbreviations are written as whole words, old measurements and weights or the Latin expressions, normally require a particular knowledge in legal history, are given. Therefore it is possible for the ancestor researcher to understand the entire content of the source in all detail and incorporate it into his/her research.
